We’re back at the Hideaway Bar & Grill. Located North of Globe off of Highway 188 to Roosevelt Lake. This Mom & Pop owned establishment lures in the folks who enjoy their sports with a great draft beer and their favorite bar food. We keep making new friends and fans at this little establishment and dare you to find the Hideaway! (We put a map down below, just in case)

We’re excited to be playing at the Hideaway Bar & Grill, just north of Globe on the way to Roosevelt Lake. Great owners, good bar munchies, sports on the TV’s and what a taste in music they have! I mean, they hired us again. We hope to see you there!

It’s time for our bi-annual Hold my Beer Band road trip to Jerome and Clarkdale Az!. We make the journey to the Spirit Room to play their World-Famous stage once again! Trust us when we say the Spirit Room doesn’t feature a lot of Country music. We always enjoy the trip via the mogollon rim which totally negates the I-17 freeway north. It is such a beautiful drive and view as you literally drive from desert to mountain forests, small alpine towns then some red rocks of Sedona appear as you drop down off of the rim into the Verde Valley, Camp Verde across I-17 towards Cottonwood, then up the narrow twisting road of 89A and Jerome!

We hope you can visit this great little spot on the planet at some point, if you haven’t already.

Rocky, Ron, Fred & Frank of the Hold my Beer Band at El Rancho Robles

We were invited back to the Hideaway and we’re beyond excited! One of our super-fans moved to Globe from Oracle Az a few months ago and suggested to the owner of the Hideaway to check out the Hold my Beer Band. If you’re in the area of Globe or Roosevelt Lake, drop on by and give us a listen. Enjoy an appetizer or meal with your favorite drink. We start early at the Hideaway, because we’re OLD! But seriously folks, we will be playing from 6 – 10 pm on Friday, August 9th. Here’s some directions from Globe;
Head North on Hwy 188 and stay in the right lane for about 5 miles or so. That right lane will become a “Turn Only” lane. Turn right as the lane ends and drive approximately a mile or 2 where you will see the Hideaway, hidden away on your right. We hope to see you there!

It’s good to be heading back to Jerome for our bi-annual appearance at the Spirit Room. Our keyboard player, Ron spent 16 plus years as a resident of Jerome, so we all appreciate the opportunity to play this Historical town. Jerome was once termed the “Wickedest City in the West”! We won’t add to the wickedness, unless you catch us performing some Outlaw Country, Oldies and of Course some Boogie & Swing if Ron has anything to say about it.

We are beyond excited to return to the legendary Spirit Room stage in Jerome Arizona. We played there in May of this year and are heading back to the haunted Jerome Az. Our keyboard player lived in Jerome with his partner Carla for almost 17 years. It sure helps to know a few venues that used to hire Ron’s former band, “Mountain Stranded Time”.

What makes this particular month so much fun is the number of visitors that make the trek to Jerome in order to explore or experience a haunted tour. The Jerome Grand Hotel has probably the best reputation of a haunted spot, but there are many in this small town once known as the “Wickedest Town in the West”!

If you’ve never been to Jerome in October, you are in for a treat. Expect some packed roads and a lot of people gearing up for the Annual Fireman’s Halloween Dance.
