DESCRIPTION:The Windmill Winery in Florence is veritable jewel in the desert.  This property spanning several acres has beautiful water with huge trees\, lots of green grass\, a number of structures old & new.  The Wine tasting room is a great way to try some different wines.  Weddings and events happen at this location\, for good reason.  A great and attentive staff of folks make sure that you visit is enjoyable.  Live music happens on a regular basis from October through May.  They close up the place during the summer due to the high temperatures. \nHaven’t visited yet?  Put it on your list and please try to visit when the Hold my Beer Band is playing!  We’d sure appreciate seeing you there!

SUMMARY:St. Elmo's Bar in Bisbee Az
DESCRIPTION:Our bass/keyboard player\, Ron spent his recent birthday in Bisbee Az. After 40 years of living in Arizona\, it was about time to visit this historic landmark. Especially considering Ron & his girlfriend Carla spent almost 17 years living in Jerome Arizona\, another historic mining town. Several bars were visited over a few days\, but this bar\, was very unique. Legend has it that one of the previous owners\, or a previous owner stipulated that nothing changed on the walls in this bar. If you take a close look at the wall by peeking past all of the items on the wall\, you may notice a yellow tinge. That’s got to be from decade upon decade of cigarette and cigar smoke are evident\, before Arizona went smoke free indoors. St. Elmo’s has been in this location since 1902 so there are plenty of unique and original items to look at. What interested Ron most is the adjoining room. Holy Crap! There’s a stage\, sound equipment already there and some dance floor! This seemed to be a great place as a potential gig opportunity for the Hold my Beer Band! It just so happened that a friendly employee or local\, not sure which\, was able to introduce me to Sue\, the owner of the bar. As soon as I gave Sue the pitch about the band she asked\, “What’s the name of your band”? As soon as she heard we named our band the Hold my Beer Band\, she replied\, “Oh Hell Yeah”! We exchanged phone numbers for the purpose of texting\, who really talks on phones these days\, and I figured I would hear from her in a week or so. Well\, she must have liked our Facebook presence or our website and offered us a date in a text. The boys enthusiastically agreed and we are beyond excited to be playing a gig in Historic Bisbee Arizona at St. Elmo’s. DESCRIPTION:This will be the second year that we have played for this group of hunters.  For several decades\, a man and his buddies from the trucking and shipping business have gotten together for an Arizona hunt.  They bring their wives\, have a great party at his house and order up some entertainment to go with the food and refreshments.  Last year was a blast and as we were tearing down\, the owner paid us for the evening and then proceeded to give us a very generous tip.  He told us how much his guests had appreciated the music.  We always ask if we can come back the following year if it’s an annual event and the answer was a resounding “Yes”! \nHere’s where the story becomes one of those “Small Word” stories that you hear every once in a while.  The band plays a toy auction fundraiser on the first Saturday in December at Player’s Pub.  This year\, we put ourselves up for the first item to be auctioned.  Four hours of Hold my Beer Band music at your party!  Anyway\, when we booked this year’s date\, the host asked if one of their attendees could use her certificate for our donation at his party!  Of course you can!  Then\, we began to think about last year when contacted by this potential client\, he told us that he and his wife had never heard us play\, but they had a friend that had and highly recommended the band for his party!  What are the odds that this same person was the winning bidder in the toy drive auction of our four-hour music gig?  Amazing! \nWe love to play private parties.  They are typically on a weekday\, everyone there is ready for a good time\, and we just love to play!

DESCRIPTION:The last day of the month in January and February of 2026 is a Saturday!  You know what that means.  We will be playing the Ore House Hilltop Tavern in Oracle.  You should have had a few weeks to recuperate from Valentine’s Day\, so we are looking forward to seeing you when we set up once again to play a few hours of dancing music!   You may want to show up early in order to secure yourself and your friends a great table.  Order up your favorite beer\, wine or adult hard beverage and peruse their menu of pub food.  It’s always a good idea to eat before you have one or two drinks.  Of course\, we know that you have already selected your designated driver\, but always drink responsibly and if we ask you to “Hold our Beer”\, just remember\, DON’T DRINK IT!

DESCRIPTION:We really enjoy traveling to Florence to play Windmill Winery.  This Wedding\, Event and Wine Tasting Room offer acres of grassy areas\, brick walkways\, plenty of places to sit and enjoy your wine or beverage.  They also feature live music during the season which spans October through May\, avoiding the sometimes-oppressive heat of summer in Arizona. \nThis Spring Arts festival should be a very fun event and well attended.  We begin playing at 2 pm and continue until 5 pm.  Then the Crosstown Players from Phoenix Arizona hit the stage and play from 5 to 9 pm. \nHere is additional event information from the Windmill Winery; \n \nJoin the celebration at this year’s Spring Arts Fest featuring Crosstown Players. Hosted by the lovely Windmill Winery\, this event begins at 10am with vendors\, food trucks and family fun. Kick off the music with Hold My Beer band at 2pm. It is time to return home for “Rustic Roots and Cowboy Boots.”  The Copper Basin Chamber of Commerce and their partners are bringing back all of your favorite events. \nThe Chamber of Commerce began the festivities this year with a competition. They asked members of the community to submit their ideas for this year’s theme. The winning theme “Rustic Roots and Cowboy Boots” was submitted by Kearny resident Melissa Day. When asked about how she came up with the theme\, Melissa said\, “Being local\, I knew that our Pioneer Days is about our cowboy roots\, even though the holiday is celebrated in other states as a different tradition. Ours is more of a cowboy theme versus Pioneer\, so I thought of the play on words that way. Rustic Roots & Cowboy Boots.
