DESCRIPTION:We always enjoy our standing gig at the Ore House Hilltop Tavern in Oracle!  It is always scheduled for the last Saturday of every month for almost two years now!  Our success is due in large part to the Ore House as we have been hired for private parties and other taverns in Arizona by being heard “one the last Saturday of every month”! \nIt’s always a good idea to try and show up a bit early\, order yourself a beverage and maybe some tasty tavern treats.  That way\, you can secure a great table! \nSummer is just around the corner\, so evenings are beautiful during springtime.  There are plenty of places to sit outdoors as well as tables for you and your family or guests. \nWe hope to see you there!

DESCRIPTION:Every last Saturday of the month we have a standing gig at the Ore House in Oracle.  This unique bar is an old ranch house that was towed to the top of the hill\, back in the day.  It was actually built in Ray Arizona!  There are some nice touches at the Ore House with a lot of wood features\, a stone fireplace and old mining gear displayed here and there.  This time of year\, unless it’s raining\, we are playing outdoors.  Fortunately for all of us\, once that sun sets\, it doesn’t take long for the night air to cool that summer temperature.  Arrive early\, order yourself an appetizer and your favorite beverage and get ready to dance the night away the the Hold my Beer Band!

DESCRIPTION:The first leg of our Northern Arizona road-trip is the world-famous stage at the Spirit Room in Jerome Az. We’re just a four-piece band\, but the stage is not too deep but long. Anyway\, the reason we bring this lesser-known factoid is that most bands don’t know of the small extension that is built into the stage. It’s actually a brilliant idea and is housed in the front of the stage via a panel. Once pulled out on handy wheels\, you notice 10 threaded pipes with the underside of the extension housing the receptacles that the threaded pipes are screwed in to. Once that is done\, flip it over and you have an extension to enlarge the shallow depth of the stage. \nCome see us at the Spirit Room in Jerome! The local audience from Jerome and tourists all tend to agree that the Hold my Beer Band enjoys playing tunes you may have not heard in a while! Interested? Make plans now!

There will be many auction items to look over as we play some tunes and get you ready to spend some money in order to purchase toys for the kids. You are encouraged to drop by The Player’s Pub in Catalina and drop some dollars in their giant donation jug. Or\, if you’ve got something to donate to the auction for the cause\, that is welcomed as well! \nThere is a cash raffle for $1\,000 with tickets going for $10 ea. or 3 for $25!  Please bring an unwrapped toy as an entry fee.  There is catered food from 2 to 5 being offered at $12/plate. \nWe are the first item up for auction so you can ensure your money goes to a great cause\, purchasing toys for children this holiday season.  Drop by\, make sure that you take a look at all of the auction items then get ready for the auction\, beginning as soon as we clear the patio area for the auctioneer and Golder Ranch Fire personnel.  They will display the current item up for auction and at times will wear the item\, if they can fit! \nJoin us.  It’s going to be a blast!

DESCRIPTION:The Windmill Winery in Florence is veritable jewel in the desert.  This property spanning several acres has beautiful water with huge trees\, lots of green grass\, a number of structures old & new.  The Wine tasting room is a great way to try some different wines.  Weddings and events happen at this location\, for good reason.  A great and attentive staff of folks make sure that you visit is enjoyable.  Live music happens on a regular basis from October through May.  They close up the place during the summer due to the high temperatures. \nHaven’t visited yet?  Put it on your list and please try to visit when the Hold my Beer Band is playing!  We’d sure appreciate seeing you there!

SUMMARY:St. Elmo's Bar in Bisbee Az
DESCRIPTION:Our bass/keyboard player\, Ron spent his recent birthday in Bisbee Az. After 40 years of living in Arizona\, it was about time to visit this historic landmark. Especially considering Ron & his girlfriend Carla spent almost 17 years living in Jerome Arizona\, another historic mining town. Several bars were visited over a few days\, but this bar\, was very unique. Legend has it that one of the previous owners\, or a previous owner stipulated that nothing changed on the walls in this bar. If you take a close look at the wall by peeking past all of the items on the wall\, you may notice a yellow tinge. That’s got to be from decade upon decade of cigarette and cigar smoke are evident\, before Arizona went smoke free indoors. St. Elmo’s has been in this location since 1902 so there are plenty of unique and original items to look at. What interested Ron most is the adjoining room. Holy Crap! There’s a stage\, sound equipment already there and some dance floor! This seemed to be a great place as a potential gig opportunity for the Hold my Beer Band! It just so happened that a friendly employee or local\, not sure which\, was able to introduce me to Sue\, the owner of the bar. As soon as I gave Sue the pitch about the band she asked\, “What’s the name of your band”? As soon as she heard we named our band the Hold my Beer Band\, she replied\, “Oh Hell Yeah”! We exchanged phone numbers for the purpose of texting\, who really talks on phones these days\, and I figured I would hear from her in a week or so. Well\, she must have liked our Facebook presence or our website and offered us a date in a text. The boys enthusiastically agreed and we are beyond excited to be playing a gig in Historic Bisbee Arizona at St. Elmo’s.
