DESCRIPTION:It’s the Spooky month of October and we are only a few days from Halloween when we play the Ore House again on October 26th.  So\, they have decided that evening will be their official Halloween Party!  We don’t know many details as of yet\, but there will be a DJ and the Hold my Beer Band playing music and enjoying the party!  Pull out your favorite Halloween costume and let’s get the dance party started!  By now\, the temperatures should be cooler in the evening\, so whether we setup indoors or outdoors will truly depend on what mama nature has in store for us. If you do drop by the Ore House\, you may want to arrive a bit early because if we do setup indoors\, it can be like a human car wash getting around in that place! DESCRIPTION:We have met so many people while playing for the last 2.5 years.  One of these ladies is having a birthday party!  Funny enough\, she attended a birthday party that we were hired for at Porter’s Saloon in Superior!  She calls herself the crazy dancing lady\, but really\, she’s just crazy about dancing.  We are learning a few waltzes as well as some other new material and we’re really looking forward to playing yet another birthday party!  The American Legion is typically members only\, but this young lady is persistent and convinced them to allow her to not only host her birthday party there but open the party up to the public.  Bring your dancing shoes and dance the afternoon away! \n\n\n\nThe American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization. Focusing on service to veterans\, servicemembers and communities\, the Legion evolved from a group of war-weary veterans of World War I into one of the most influential nonprofit groups in the United States. Membership swiftly grew to over 1 million\, and local posts sprang up across the country. Today\, membership stands at over 2.4 million in 14\,000 posts worldwide. The posts are organized into 55 departments: one each for the 50 states\, along with the District of Columbia\, Puerto Rico\, France\, Mexico and the Philippines.

One of our super-fans moved to Globe from Oracle Az a few months ago and suggested to the owner of the Hideaway to check out the Hold my Beer Band.  If you’re in the area of Globe or Roosevelt Lake\, drop on by and give us a listen.  Enjoy an appetizer or meal with your favorite drink.  We start early at the Hideaway\, because we’re OLD!  But seriously folks\, we will be playing from 6 – 10 pm on Friday\, August 9th.  Here’s some directions from Globe;Head North on Hwy 188 and stay in the right lane for about 5 miles or so.  That right lane will become a “Turn Only” lane.  Turn right as the lane ends and drive approximately a mile or 2 where you will see the Hideaway\, hidden away on your right. DESCRIPTION:Clarkdale Az is our second stop on our whirlwind Spring 2024 tour in the Verde Valley so where else to play but the 10-12 Lounge!  This is such a wonderful bar that enjoyed a facelift about two decades ago.  This is a warm and friendly lounge with great bartenders\, a stage a dance floor.  What more could a band want?  Well\, to begin with\, it would be nice to see as many locals on that dance floor!  The other wonderful thing about this gig is playing on a Saturday afternoon.  Our keyboard player\, Ron\, was a resident of Jerome\, just up the hill for more than 16 years.  Come out and say Howdy” if you remember this crazy guy\, or better yet\, if you haven’t heard us play! \n\n\n\nRemember\, the more you drink . . . the better we sound!
