Trust us when we say the Spirit Room doesn’t feature a lot of Country music. We always enjoy the trip via the mogollon rim which totally negates the I-17 freeway north. DESCRIPTION:Our once/month gig at the Ore House Hilltop Tavern in Oracle Az is typically very well attended.  We feel fortunate to have such a dedicated fan-base as well as an awesome venue with great pub food allowing us to whip up the crowd each month.  If you haven’t had the opportunity to visit the Ore House in Oracle\, now is as good a time as any!  It’s the end of September\, so we’re pretty sure we will be playing outside.  Next month\, November may find us sharing the warm interior with the patrons of the Ore House. \n\n\n\nAt any rate\, please arrive a bit early to order some great munchies and combine it with a tap/bottled beer or cocktail and get ready to dance ‘yer butts off!

DESCRIPTION:We have met so many people while playing for the last 2.5 years.  One of these ladies is having a birthday party!  Funny enough\, she attended a birthday party that we were hired for at Porter’s Saloon in Superior!  She calls herself the crazy dancing lady\, but really\, she’s just crazy about dancing.  We are learning a few waltzes as well as some other new material and we’re really looking forward to playing yet another birthday party!  The American Legion is typically members only\, but this young lady is persistent and convinced them to allow her to not only host her birthday party there but open the party up to the public.  Bring your dancing shoes and dance the afternoon away! \n\n\n\nThe American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization. Focusing on service to veterans\, servicemembers and communities\, the Legion evolved from a group of war-weary veterans of World War I into one of the most influential nonprofit groups in the United States. Membership swiftly grew to over 1 million\, and local posts sprang up across the country. Today\, membership stands at over 2.4 million in 14\,000 posts worldwide. The posts are organized into 55 departments: one each for the 50 states\, along with the District of Columbia\, Puerto Rico\, France\, Mexico and the Philippines.

DESCRIPTION:We were invited back to the Hideaway and we’re beyond excited!  One of our super-fans moved to Globe from Oracle Az a few months ago and suggested to the owner of the Hideaway to check out the Hold my Beer Band.  If you’re in the area of Globe or Roosevelt Lake\, drop on by and give us a listen.  Enjoy an appetizer or meal with your favorite drink.  We start early at the Hideaway\, because we’re OLD!  But seriously folks\, we will be playing from 6 – 10 pm on Friday\, August 9th.  Here’s some directions from Globe;Head North on Hwy 188 and stay in the right lane for about 5 miles or so.  That right lane will become a “Turn Only” lane.  Turn right as the lane ends and drive approximately a mile or 2 where you will see the Hideaway\, hidden away on your right.  We hope to see you there!

DESCRIPTION:Clarkdale Az is our second stop on our whirlwind Spring 2024 tour in the Verde Valley so where else to play but the 10-12 Lounge!  This is such a wonderful bar that enjoyed a facelift about two decades ago.  This is a warm and friendly lounge with great bartenders\, a stage a dance floor.  What more could a band want?  Well\, to begin with\, it would be nice to see as many locals on that dance floor!  The other wonderful thing about this gig is playing on a Saturday afternoon.  Our keyboard player\, Ron\, was a resident of Jerome\, just up the hill for more than 16 years.  Come out and say Howdy” if you remember this crazy guy\, or better yet\, if you haven’t heard us play! \n\n\n\nRemember\, the more you drink . . . the better we sound!

DESCRIPTION:It’s good to be heading back to Jerome for our bi-annual appearance at the Spirit Room.  Our keyboard player\, Ron spent 16 plus years as a resident of Jerome\, so we all appreciate the opportunity to play this Historical town.  Jerome was once termed the “Wickedest City in the West”!  We won’t add to the wickedness\, unless you catch us performing some Outlaw Country\, Oldies and of Course some Boogie & Swing if Ron has anything to say about it.

DESCRIPTION:We are beyond excited to return to the legendary Spirit Room stage in Jerome Arizona.  We played there in May of this year and are heading back to the haunted Jerome Az.  Our keyboard player lived in Jerome with his partner Carla for almost 17 years.  It sure helps to know a few venues that used to hire Ron’s former band\, “Mountain Stranded Time”. \n\n\n\nWhat makes this particular month so much fun is the number of visitors that make the trek to Jerome in order to explore or experience a haunted tour.  The Jerome Grand Hotel has probably the best reputation of a haunted spot\, but there are many in this small town once known as the “Wickedest Town in the West”! \n\n\n\nIf you’ve never been to Jerome in October\, you are in for a treat.  Expect some packed roads and a lot of people gearing up for the Annual Fireman’s Halloween Dance.   \n\n\n\nWe hope to see you there!

DESCRIPTION:With monsoon season a bit off and on this year\, we usualy don’t know whether we will be playing out on the outdoor stage or whether we will have to setup with the protection of the covered outdoor portion of the “Beer Garden” area.  We’re hoping for a clear day with some lower temperatures\, but you just never know.   \n\n\n\nNormally we play each last Saturday of the month at the Ore House Hilltop Tavern\, but for the second time in 2023\, a month contains 5 Saturdays!  Well\, September 30th is the date we are booked\, on the fifth Saturday\, as well as the last Saturday of September 2023. \n\n\n\nI know they will have some great entertainment lined up for you on the 4th Saturday in September at the Ore House Hilltop Tavern.
